As the summer of 2010 winds down, I celebrate and am grateful for:
~a swim meet in St. John New Brunswick and college visit to upstate New York to soothe my wanderlust,
~extended family fun at Funtown and Cape Porpoise,
~an August 19th birthday celebration for my twin sisters, Amy and Adelle (who came all the way from Ohio with her family to share her special day),
~the opportunity to re-connect with my sister, Sarah, who lives in Seattle now and is greatly missed,
~the privilege of welcoming my nephew, Finnegan Rex Libby, into the world, and watching the life breath suffuse his little body...words fail me, I'm afraid, in any attempt to describe the wonder associated with this,
~brother John's safe deployment to Djibouti (happy upcoming birthday, bro!)
~my parents' upcoming wedding anniversary,
~a series of beautiful long runs to Cousins Island,
~early morning outings with brother Matthew, who begins law school in Boston this fall,
~running the Clam Fest race and Beach to Beacon,
~boat rides and dinners with the Walshes,
~a rooftop birthday party with my friend Elizabeth and her beau, Brian,
~my Aerie River office colleagues, past, present and future,
~time and space to adjust to the next phase in my life,
~three healthy children, who are looking forward to a new school year,
~soccer season,
~my son's upcoming senior year of high school...what an adventure it will be!
